If the hammock in our courtyard proves to be too seductive, the sitting room's private, outside entrance is your escape to outdoor lounging beneath live oak trees. A touch of nature awaits you back inside this first-floor room. The Egret Room is one of several of our rooms in which ivy seems to grow upon the walls -- courtesy of a local artist who hand-painted the flora in the sitting room, above the wicker frame of the king bed, and around the giant mirror that fills the bedroom's side wall. Not to be outdone, the old-fashioned, handmade quilt on the bed is a work of flower-filled art, too.

The bedroom (which also affords a view of the courtyard) and sitting room each include their own ceiling fan and hardwood pine floors.

The spacious, tiled bathroom includes an oversized whirlpool tub and shower.
